Pricing Catalogue: Moose: Potentially one of the most dangerous, and unpredictable, animals I regularly deal with. A full grown moose can weigh up to one ton, although most big males will attain weights of 1,600 to 1,800 lbs., with mature females (cows) weighing between 1,200 and 1,500 lbs. Probably the most dangerous moose out there is the cow, should you somehow find yourself between her and a calf. Fully mature bull moose, depending on the subspecies involved, can attain antlers widths of 60 to 80 inches and they do so in a growing season of roughly 4 plus months. A fully developed set of antlers can easily weigh up to 30 or even 50 pounds! The largest sets of antlers will occur between 5 and 12 years of age, provided the bull remains in good overall health. |
